Helen has been the principal of HTDC for 10 years and has 20 years of experience in professional teaching.

She trained at The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London. Her professional teacher training then took place under the expert guidance of Elizabeth Harrison and Linda Sweetzer.

Helen graduated from a three-year teacher training diploma course and has gained Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) associate teaching qualifications in Classical Ballet, National, Modern and Tap, and London Academy of Musical and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) qualifications. She then gained the ISTD Certificate in Dance Education in all four subjects. Helen has also achieved ISTD higher level professional Licentiate status in Tap and Modern.

Helen is an ISTD-approved tutor, training dance teachers for all aspects of the ISTD Diploma in Dance Instruction and Diploma in Dance Education teaching qualifications at a teacher training college in Maidenhead Berkshire where she is the Head of Academic Studies.

Performance credits include dancing and singing in shows at; The London Palladium; Her Majestys Theatre; The Palace Theatre; Avondale Theatre and The Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland (Paris) as well as acting on national television and performing commercially.

Aydin trained at the the State Conservatory in Ankara, Tanz Academy in Berlin and on the teacher training course for professional dancers at the Royal Ballet School in London.

Aydin has worked with choreographers and teachers including: Rudolph Nureyev, Todd Bolender, Peter Van Dyke and Valerie Adams. She has performed professionally in many classical ballets and productions with the Ankara and Istanbul State Ballet companies including: Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote, Carmen, Faust, My Fair Lady and Fiddler on the Roof. 

Aydin is a teaching member of the Royal Academy of Dance, and has been teaching, choreographing and entering students for all levels of RAD exams since 1991.

Joanne started dancing at age 7 at the Patricia Stevens School of Dance. Throughout her childhood she trained here and also at the Royal Academy of Dance, taking examinations, dancing in many competitions, local performances and performing at the Sadlers Wells Theatre with Young Stars of Tomorrow.

She graduated from the Urdang Academy with her teaching diploma, ISTD modern and tap elementary level, Cecchetti ballet, GCSE history of Ballet and the Royal Academy of Dance Teaching Certificate.

Joanne has been teaching ballet, choreographing and entering students for all levels of RAD exams since 1988, co-running two dance schools along the way.

Natalie began dancing at age 5 at the Georgian School of Dancing and then moved through to HTDC where she trained until she was 19. She then continued her training at the Margaret Howard Theatre College, working in all aspects of dance, musical theatre and performance. Natalie also achieved Advanced 2 level Tap and Modern, as well as her ISTD Diploma in Dance Instruction for Tap and Modern.

Natalie has had various performance experiences including dancing on board MSC Cruise liners, performing at Sadlers Wells, at Malta’s National Theatre and the Watford Palace Theatre.
